ICQ contains tools for sending and for receiving E-Mail.
These tools give you the ability to perform basic E-Mail related functions:
- Send E-Mail
- View your mailbox on a POP3 server
- Delete messages
- View the first few lines of each message
ICQ can also notify you when new mail arrives to your POP3 mailbox.
To send E-Mail from your ICQ program to another user:
- Click on the user name on your Contact List.
- Select E-Mail. Enter your E-Mail message and click Send.
Note: The Send E-Mail feature will only operate if the contact has an
E-Mail address in the ICQ User Details.
To check for incoming E-Mail: Click the E-Mail icon at the head of your Contact List.
The Check E-Mail feature will begin to download your incoming E-Mail messages.
Double click on a message to view the contents of the message.
Note: You may enter your E-Mail details by going to Preferences > Check E-Mail
