You can change the details provided for your ICQ# (e.g., your first/last name, your age).
You must save the information to the server before other ICQ users can view your new details.
Any change or addition to your details may not be immediately visible to all users
(users who already have your ICQ# on their Contact List, may need to retrieve your details from the server).
Note that changing your details in ICQ does not affect the corresponding details in real life. For example,
you cannot become younger by entering new age parameters in your ICQ information.
The User Details window

To change your User Details:
- Click the My Details button
at the head of your Contact List (or select View/Change my details in the File menu).
- The My Details dialog contains four tabs: Main, Home, More, and About. You can enter details for each of these four tabs
- Click the Save button.
Please Note: Providing any information about yourself on ICQ is voluntary.
The more information you provide about yourself the easier it will be for your friends to locate you and
communicate with you. Information you do provide will be published on ICQ directories and will be visible
to ICQ & Internet users. Such details or any addition or amendment to these details may not be
immediately visible to all users (e.g. users who already have that ICQ# on their Contact List will be
required to click on the Retrieve button in order to view the new or revised details entered.
Viewing another ICQ user's details
Just like you can save information about yourself on the ICQ servers,
you can view the information stored for other ICQ users. In most ICQ windows,
you can use the User Details function whenever you select an ICQ user.
The information is displayed in the same window as the one in which you edit your user details,
with the obvious difference that it is not editable. The only exception to this rule is
the Notes pane, in which you can save personal notes for the relevant ICQ user.
This information is stored locally and not sent to the servers.
